A Beautiful Sight

Hello,

How did I possibly miss this?  This is what happens when you get super busy and can't get around the blogosphere as much. I totally never seen the awesome bridge yarn bombing feat until tonight over on the Spud and Chloe Blog.  It was done in Cambridge, Ontario back in September 2010 (if I'm correct) to highlight the city's textile past.  And after display the pieces were made into blankets that were donated to local shelters and scarves that were auctioned off to raise money for local charities.  You can see more photos and read about it on the KnittyBlog.  The comment made by one resident that the bridge looked like it had been given a hug melted my heart!  Things like these make me want to take up yarn bombing.

Be back soon with some wedding photos,
xoxo
