Needles: US 5
Mods: Due to my guage being very, very off on this, it turned out super tiny, more like a doll size.  I'm going to keep it for my future children to use for their dolly.  I knit short sleeves instead of the long sleeves called for in the pattern.

The two baby cardigans don't have buttons, since I haven't had the chance to search through my button box yet, but I'm sure the perfect ones are in there somewhere.

I have two more projects to share before I am caught up on my recent finishing spree, but both need to be blocked.  I will try to do that once I'm done this post and then hopefully I can blog about them tomorrow.  This is my last week of work, so soon I should have more time for blogging about the actual work-in-progress part of my projects instead of just showing the finished object.  Anyways, I hope you are all having a great start to your week, and I will be back again soon!

An Owl, a Hamster and Some Tiny Men

I hope you are all having a lovely week and getting the chance to enjoy these late summer days!!  Today's installment will be showcasing some toys.  First up is Owl Baby.  I had been gifted this pattern by the wonderful Deb (lovetocraft on Ravelry) back in May, and I'm embarrassed to say that it took me so long to finish because it's not a hard pattern at all!  I actually got it done in a couple of days but  put off doing the eyes.....again, do you see a trend here??  I finally ended up getting my Mom to do them :)  She always does such an awesome job with things like this, and as you can see, they turned out pretty cute!  The pattern is by Susan B. Anderson and you can download it here from Ravelry.

Next we have two little Human Beans.  I was feeling bogged down with my projects at the time because they were all things that were taking me a while to finish, so I just need to have some instant gratification knits.  These fit the bill perfectly, as did this little one:

It's a teeny tiny hamster!  I was never allowed to have a pet hamster as a kid so this was my way of filling that void from my childhood.  (Don't worry, my parents really weren't that mean, I'm actually allergic to them).  He's cute though eh?  Plus, there's no cleaning a cage, or feeding him and he doesn't take up much room at all.

I do have one more toy that I've recently finished, but I don't have a picture of her yet, so I will share her a little later.

Miniature Monday

Hello Knitters,

This Monday's Miniature is a little bed bug, complete with sleeping cap, that I made as part of my Dad's birthday present.  The pattern is from Knitting Mochimochi and originally calls for worsted weight yarn, but since I wanted to make this one a miniature version, I used fingering weight and he turned out to be about half the regular size. 

I think he'd find a way to sleep just about anywhere!

Miniature Monday

Hello Knitters,

Over the last few days I've been reading back through all the posts on the Mochimochi Land blog and I've become inspired to begin my own miniature knitting challenge.  I am going to do Miniature Monday on the blog where on Mondays I will post a picture of something miniature that I have knitted, over the weekend/week before.  I will probably start off with a lot of the Mochimochi Land patterns since those are what I'm currently enjoying, but I'm not going to rule out trying to come up with a few of my own once I learn the ropes!  I thought this would help me keep up with my blogging, even during this busy time, and it would also make there be something to look forward to seeing on the blog on Mondays - like a little Monday pick-me-up :-)  I hope you all enjoy it!! 

This week's miniature is the "Plucky Mushrooms" from Knitting Mochimochi.  However, mine have a bit of an unplanned modification.  I read the instructions wrong because I was knitting while chatting with my sister, so I wasn't paying attention, and ended up with a "tall" mushroom.  I considered ripping him back and doing him over again, but by then he started growing on me.  Now I'm quite fond of him!

A Pig with Wigs

Hello Knitters,

Wow, it feels like it's been forever since I last posted! I'm so sorry I didn't post much last week. There wasn't much time to get online while Emmie was staying here, but she went home yesterday (I miss her so much already!) so this week should be back to normal I hope.

I did get a good amount of knitting done while she was here though. And my first project I want to share is this little piggy.

The pattern is from Knitting Mochimochi, which is just full of cute little projects. This is the "Pigs with Wigs" pattern. I'm making it for my Mom because she thought it was so cute. So far I've got two wigs done: the Beautiful Beehive, and the Buxom Bob.

I still have two more wigs to go, and I'll share those when they are done. Now it's time for this piggy to get back to work! Have a great day everyone!
